80年代初期にフロントマンのバズ・オズボーンが中心となり結成したロック・バンド。84年にデイル・クローヴァー(Dr)が加入。彼等が放つ攻撃的でヘヴィなサウンドは90年代以降のグランジ・シーンに多大な影響を与えた。中でもニルヴァーナへの影響は大きく、カート・コバーン自身がファンであることを公言している・・・
