エロール・ガーナー(1921/6/15-1977/1/2)：20世紀の偉大なるジャズ・ピアニスト。 サウスポーならではの強烈なスウィング感あふれるハッピー・ビートが 人気。1954年作「ミスティ」が ジョニー・マティス によって歌われ大ヒット。かのオスカー・ ピーターソン等数多くのアーティストに カバーされ20世紀の名曲となった。
