Diana Krall

1981年、ダイアナに転機が訪れる。「ヴァンクーヴァー・ジャズ・フェスティヴァル」の奨学金を得て、バークリー音楽院に入学することになったのだ。一年半の猛勉強の後、ダイアナは故郷へ戻った。ここで、今度は現在にまで繋がる大きな出会いがあった。地元ナナイモで演奏していたダイアナを、当地に来ていたベーシストのレイ・ブラウンが耳にしダイアナを協力にバックアップすることになる。
