89年6月3日、チャールス・ミンガス亡き後にニューヨークのリンカーン・センターで行われたミンガスの名盤『Epitaph』のライブパフォーマンス。Randy BreckerやWynton Marsalis、Roland Hanna、John Hicks、Victor Lewisなど、Charles Mingus Big Bandでしか見ることの出来ない豪華な面々が名盤『Epitaph』のサウンドを作り出しています。
