On Anewal/The Walking Man, Tuareg guitarist and singer Alhousseini Anivolla evokes the great African blues masters and blazes a trail through his Saharan homeland. Anewal/The Walking Man is the much anticipated debut solo album by the guitarist and lead vocalist of Etran Finatawa. A superb guitarist, his distinctive style is rooted in the spirit of the desert blues. This album is a musical diary of his personal journey from the desert, to the city, to the world stage and back again. Recorded in Niger, this album has an otherworldly feel which reflects the nomadic way of life in the Saharan desert.
