同時発売の第６番と同様、こちらもいい演奏です。オーケストラをしっかり鳴らし、あいまいな処理はありません。ライヴゆえ、オケがちょっと走ってしまったり、吹き損じたりといった個所はありますが、そんなに大きな傷ではありません。総じて、雄大さや開放性を目指したものではなく、もっと素直に各部分の楽想を表現したような感じでしょうか。この曲はそれで十分に映えると思いますね。但し、若干単調さを感じる気もしますし、声楽部があまり冴えないのはマイナスかな。録音は優秀。トータルは結構、満足であります。
