商品説明

1982年に惜しまれつつ解散したジャム。本作はその解散後にリリースされたライヴ盤（1983年発表）。100クラブやハマースミス・パレスといったさまざまな会場での音源をピックアップして収録。また年代順に収められているため、ジャムの成長過程を追った良質なドキュメンタリーともいえる。

This finally completes the Jam paper sleeve catalogue. A blistering testament to one of punk/post punk`s finest combos. The Jam gave us a modest volume of music, but they were consistently aware of quality control. DTNB is proof of that--consisting of recordings culled from live performances spanning their entire career, it reveals a group at their strongest： on stage. While Ive not been privy to advance copies of this release, here`s hoping the packaging is complete with the original die-cut sleeve!

As a live document of one of the period’s most influential bands, Dig the New Breed serves the Jam legacy well. The only problem is that it has languished in this first generation CD version for far too long. Bring out a deluxe edition, Universal! There must be more to this recording that didn’t make the final cut.

インザシティの疾走感はこのアルバムの発売当時仰天だった。当時のロッカーズ、ルースターズもお手本にしてたのではないか？ゴーイングアンダーグランドはシングル発売の時期の方がカッコイイ。

1970年代後半、パンク・ムーヴメント真っ只中にあったイギリス、ロンドンにおいて一際硬派なイメージを持って登場したバンドがザ・ジャムだった。彼らは、当時巷に氾濫するむさ苦しさとこ汚さをもポリシーとしたパンクス達とは一線を規した存在でステージで、スタイルといえば三つボタンの細身のスーツに身を固めリッケンバッカーをかき鳴らす、どこかエリートっぽささえ漂わせていた。
