「Telarc Jazz」移籍後、初のスタジオでの録音盤。今回はギル・ゴールドスタイン(kb)ジョン・ピサレリ (g)ウィル・リー(b)ルー・ソロフ(tp)らがバックをつとめたが、圧倒的なＭＴの存在感が伴奏陣の影を薄くしている。マイルスの雄大な演奏が耳に残る�Cでさえ、素晴らしいハーモナイズで新たな作品に変質させてしまう。そのほか、過去に歌ってきた曲も含めてこのグループが明らかにほかのコーラス・グループとは一線を画したレベルにあることを改めて感じさせてくれる近年最高の作品に「完成」した。全ての曲が100％を超える完成度を11曲もそろえるという至難のアルバム作りが貫徹された。
