85年7月13日にロンドン・ウェンブリー・アリーナとフィラデルフィアJFKスタジアムの2箇所で行われた世界的な規模のコンサート「Live Aid」は、チャールズ皇太子とダイアナ妃の列席の元、ロンドン・ウェンブリー・アリーナで開幕、追ってフィラデルフィアJFKスタジアムのステージもスタートしました。両会場は衛星中継でリンクされており、英国側と米国側でやりとりをしながらステージは進行していきます。参加アーティストはQueen、Eric Clapton、U2、Mick Jagger、Keith Richards、Bob Dylan、Phil Collins、Beach Boys、David Bowie、The Who、Elvis Costello、Madonna、Neil Young、 Judas Priest 、Black Sabbath、Duran Duran、Hall & Oatesなどなど、当時のスーパースターが勢揃い！ロンドンでは“Do They Know It’s Christmas?”で、フィラデルフィアでは“We Are The World”でフィナーレを迎える感動のステージです！
