前作プラチナムで展開したPOPプログレ路線を拡大した開放感・幸福感に溢れた快作。D・ﾍﾝﾂｪﾙをﾌﾟﾛﾃﾞｭｰｻｰに迎えて、一曲でP・ｺﾘﾝｽﾞがｹﾞｽﾄ参加でﾄﾞﾗﾑｽを叩いているのも一興。歌のないｲﾝｽﾄ中篇2曲と、同様に歌のない掌編集だが、どの曲も全くのダレ場なしにぐいぐい聞くものをひきつける。発売時のＬＰは簡単なギミックが施されていたので（といっても、外スリーブに小さな窓が開いていただけだが）、その感触を味わいたい向きは日本盤をお薦めします。初出のLIVE音源も大変楽しみです。（頑迷な某作家が、MIKEの音楽は単なるｲｰｼﾞｰﾘｽﾆﾝｸﾞだと切り捨てていたが、いかにも手軽に作っていると思わせる作品の音の構造の如何に重層的なことか。複雑なアレンジと高度な演奏技術（誰も触れていないが、ギターでの美しいメロディのはや弾きではダントツだと思う。）が、軽々演奏しているように見せてしまうのを理解できないだけだと思う。ま、演じていないように見える名優の演技、といえば少しは伝わるだろうか。

欲しい。けど高い。長年、このアルバムだけが何故か再発せんかった。実際、ファンからの評価もも一つ。けど、学生時代からMike Oldfieldのアルバムで一番よく聞き込んだんだわなぁ。確かに他のアルバムから比べると、やけに明るうて派手でねぁ（Phil Collinsがドラム叩いてる影響もあるんだろう）。それが気に入っとったんですけど。ＳＨＭ-ＣＤかぁ、悩むなぁ。
