やっぱりインディ・ジョーンズは面白いです。今回のBD化に伴い、『レイダース』はマスター修復版、『魔宮の伝説』及び『最後の聖戦』はデジタルリマスター版が使用されています。100インチスクリーンで視聴において、その効果は発揮されているのが確認できます。尚、本作はTHX-BDです。LDの晩年に登場したTHX-LDの音響は、通常のLDと比較し音圧、迫力ともに桁違いで、ホームシアターにおいて画期的な存在でした。そのBD版です。肝心の音響面ですが、THX-BDにしたことでポテンシャルが引き上げられ年代の古い作品が、他の作品との差を少なくしていると言えます。『クリスタル・スカル』に続く作品はあるのか分かりませんが、ルーカス/スピルバーグによる金字塔的なインディ・ジョーンズを手元に置くのなら、このBD盤でしょう。

旧3作のアクション・シーンを改めて観ると、CG全盛の現在では「あれっ？こんなもんだったっけ？」と過去の印象との違いに拍子抜けする面はあるものの、初めてインディを観た子供は大喜びでした。
