グリーグといえば、ペール・ギュントやピアノ協奏曲などが有名ですが、弦楽四重奏曲もなかなか手応えのある素晴らしい曲を提供してくれます。しかし、完成した弦楽四重奏曲は２番のみ。１番は紛失し、３番は未完。それを音楽家であるオールダルをアレンジとして、２番、３番を再度構築し直したのが、今回聴くオスロ・カメラータの演奏です。このオスロ・カメラータの演奏では、民俗的要素が全体を包む為、鮮やかに展開される好演であることも素晴らしい。表現力を豊かに展開されたり、孤独な表現でギャップに陥った場合も、なぜか強く惹かれるこの曲想は、申し分ないと思います。慟哭を味わって欲しい１枚です。
