演奏としては優れているのだろうが、何の感銘も受けなかった。若手のようなキレや勢いがあるわけでもなく、巨匠の様な滋味あふれる演奏でもなく・・・・。普通に破綻のない演奏にしか思えなかった。

驚くような独創的解釈、新鮮な響き、刺激的なテンポ設定…そうしたものとは一切無縁の演奏。しかし入念なリハーサルに裏打ちされた実に丁寧な音楽はひたすら傾聴に値する。あざといところは一切なく、指揮者や演奏家の独りよがりの解釈を押し付けるでもなく、美しく、管楽器はとてもチャーミングに、音楽は清らかな川のように流れていく。全てはアバド流ということか。最後まで聞くと、またはじめから聞いてみたくなる。このCDとは長く付き合っていけそうだ。クラシック音楽に「汗」や「涙」といった感動を求める方には★４つ、最近のアバドの演奏が気になっていらっしゃる方には★5つでもいいかな?
