デューク・ジョーダン（Irving Sidney Jordan 1922年4月1日～2006年8月8日）はアメリカ合衆国ニューヨーク市生まれのジャズ・ピアニスト、作曲家。アルバムは1960年ブルーノートの録音で氏のリーダー作の中ではハード・バップ色の強い作品といえる。共演者はテナーサックスがスタンリー・タレンタイン、トランペットがディジー・リース、ベースがレジー・ワークマン、ドラムがアート・テイラー。特にスタンリー・タレンタインとディジー・リースの共演も聴き所の一つ。1973年からスティープルチェイスで多くの作品もてがけ、こちらも魅力。

デューク・ジョーダンのロングセラーだと思われるが、　実はディジー・リース（ｔｐ）とタレンタインのソロが素晴らしいジャズアルバムだったりするのではないでしょうか？どちらも派手な人ではなさそうだが、　こういう人がサイドを固めてる演奏は飽きない、廃れない、ジャズの入門にもいけるいちまいですね？
