近頃のはやりなのか（特にヘンデル作品や知られざる作曲家によるものが多い）古楽器と女声によるバロックのアリアの録音はたくさんあるがその中でも一押しの個性的で魅力的なアルバムだと思う。プディボンはこうしたバロックから現代作曲家によるキャバレーソングみたいなものから、はたまたモーツァルトやプーランク、ベルクのルル等のオペラでも八面六臂の活躍ぶり。美しい声、技術はもちろんのこと、彼女の深い知識に基づいたよい意味での即興性と遊びがこの歌唱にも感じられる。あまりにも有名なヘンデルの　「Lascia ch’io pianga」などは深い音楽性と感動で歌われていて思わず私は何度もリピートしてしまった。
