ルチアってたとえノーカットでも三枚より二枚の方が聞き易いよねっと一人ごちながらも手元に三枚組の高あーい全曲盤があるので手を出せなかったこの新装丁盤。とうとう買っちゃいました。演奏は何度も聴いたものなのでとくに目新しい発見はありませんけど。サザランドは聴いていて疲れないから聞き易いよとのお言葉を私の廻りでも聞きますが、聴いていて疲れないような演奏など、ムードミュージックと同じじゃないかぁーなどと心の中で反論している私なのでした。でも共演者の充実ぶりから切って捨てることのできない演奏です。これ。同じ意味ではボニング・サザランドの清教徒の新盤も全く同じ。

こちらは廉価盤。ボーナスCDは無し。パヴァロッティはほぼ理想的な歌唱。彼を聴くためにも重要な録音です。サザーランドは旧盤の方を取りたい。でも、不当に無視されたDIVAに敬意を表して愛聴したいものです。

　円熟かつ絶頂期の声の競演に酔える数少ない名盤と言える。カラスとは違った圧倒的な声の色彩の世界は、貴重だ。スペクタキュラスな声の高みに遊ぶ快感がたまらなかった。日本での評価はあまりされていないようだが、批評家に踊らされず、自分の感性で楽しむことができる人には、ひとつの様式美がしっかりと伝わる演奏だと思う。共演者も音楽に浸る喜びを提供してくれるに十二分な顔ぶれ。今回のこの装丁はとてもお得。
