Riversideの「Plays The Music of Duke Ellington」、「Brilliant Corners」、「Thelonious Himself」、「Mulligan Meets Monk」が含まれているだけでも十分元が取れるが、曲順はオリジナルと全く異なっていたり、複数DISKに曲が分散したりしている。一応録音年やパーソネルが記載されているが、充分ではなく、曲名の誤りもあるので自分で調べなおすことになる。他はBuleNote、Prestageの４７年～５３年の録音とLiveが３枚（５７年と５８年のFive Spot、６７年のRotterdam）である。この中で聴く回数の多いのはソロで、モンクのソロピアノを聴きながら休日の朝をスタートすることも多い。オリジナル曲であろうがエリントンの曲であろうが、モンクはモンクであってこの独特の世界が１０枚セットで入手できるのはありがたいことである。
