この作品群の録音としては上出来である。ボーモンやバルキの溌剌とした録音と比較すると、必ずしも勝っているとは思えないが、ゆっくり目のテンポで丁寧に弾いた印象で好感はもてる。但し、BWV974緩徐楽章の長めのトリルがクドい等、感情過多で苛立つ箇所もある。60年代のスグリッツィのノリのいい演奏や90年代のルージイチコヴァの極めて濃厚な演奏等、色彩豊かな録音が実は多いのだが、この録音はある意味地味な方である。この作品群を初めて聴く方にはお薦めである。
