アルバム名に「ヴィルトゥオーゾ」と入っている通り、どの曲も超絶技巧の曲ばかりのはずなのに、全く技術を感じさせず、一曲一曲、曲そのものの本質的な美しさのみを押し出しているように感じます。まるで「超絶技巧の曲は本来美しいのだ」という事をテーマに演奏されているかのようです。一音一音にごりがなく、とてもクリア。”超絶技巧”を余裕で超越してしまっている横山さんの演奏は圧巻です。聞いているうちに超絶技巧の曲である事を忘れてしまうらい音が美しいです。 i-Podなどではなく、CDでできるだけ音がクリアに聞ける環境をお作りになって聴くのがお勧めです。演奏本来のクリアさが楽しめると思います。

超絶技巧をことさら強調せずに全編に漂う余裕というかリラックスに惹かれます。これこそ本当のヴィルトゥオーゾなのでしょう。熱くはないですが、とってもいいですよ。大満足です。
