HMV Review
Sony Music Special Products' Turnin' Up the Heat contains a selection of ten songs from the Three Degrees' recordings for Philadelphia International. There are a few hits here, including the stone-cold classic When Will I See You Again and Take Good Care of Yourself, plus a selection of lesser-known singles and album tracks, some of which are quite good, some which are just OK. Such haphazard selection is typical for budget-line collections and, much of the time, the results are a lot less engaging than this, which is still quite listenable, despite its flaws. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
