世界初！ゴッド・ファーザー・オブ・ソウル・ファンクの帝王、James Brownのクラシックの数々をオリジナル・マスターからリミックス！これまでのジャクソン5、Earth Wind & Fireのリミックス・シリーズも度肝を抜く独自企画盤。
素材の良さというものは料理だけでなく音楽でも重要性を持つもので、例えばカヴァーする時にも言えて、原曲が良くなければカヴァーも生きてこない。さらにリミックスとなるとリミキサーの小手先でごまかして素材を壊してしまうことも多々ある。しかしJBとなると話は逆で、魚でいうなら大トロ、ステーキなら松坂牛といったところか。
そんなJBのそれだけでかっちょいい曲群を素晴らしく料理しようというコック達が、ご存知小西康陽、Fantastic Plastic Machine、Mr.Drunk、Captain Funk、Muro、Co-Fusion、Jungle Brothers（！）という面々。ただしボーカル部分はノータッチという、オリジナルJBファンも納得の心意気。

    聴き飛ばしながらいじり具合を確認したらこれいらない。アースにしてもそう。リミキサーが仕事したくなる気持ちがわからないではないし、スケベ心からどんな加工になっているかを聴いてみたくもなるから買うんだけど、技術的な新規性や原曲と張り合うような知恵が感じられないとアルバイト仕事みたいに聴こえて興ざめしちゃうし、原曲ばかりに気がいっちゃう。加工仕事は原曲に寄りかかったり慢心しちゃったらダメよ。
