スティーリー・ダンといえば曲ごとに変えるドラムですが、なんといってもキース･カーロックが素晴らしい。それに比べてマイケル・ホワイトの良い子ぶったタイコや、ビニー・カリウタの魂の抜けたようなドラムは情けない。アルバム全体がよく出来ているだけに、とても残念な部分だ。

スティーリー・ダン復帰作ですが、これがまたよくできてます。完璧に近い精度があって。夏の暑い日にガンガンにエアコンがかかった車の中で聴くとなかなか。自然と対峙する二人、よくわからないですが、ジャケどおり夏が案外似合うと思います。

リリース後、何年か聴きこみましたが『ガウチョ』の翌年あたりに出てても違和感なかったかもしれません。復活作ってのはカスばかりですが、よくできてます。
