2010年の布袋寅泰リリース第１弾は、単独名義では2005年4月の「LIBERTY WINGS」以来、５年振りのシングル「STILL ALIVE」に決定。このシングルで、伝説的な大ヒット漫画『北斗の拳』との夢のコラボレーションが実現！！今回、2010年を迎えるにあたり、『北斗の拳』の新しい楽曲イメージを求めていた原作者である原哲夫氏の要望から、作詞：森雪之丞、作曲：布袋寅泰による「STILL ALIVE」が誕生。この楽曲は、『北斗の拳』201X テーマソングとして、今後様々な関連のプロジェクトにて使用されてゆく予定である。更にジャケット写真は原哲夫氏のオリジナル描き下ろしイラストが使用されるなど、話題満載の内容となっている。

'10年発表｡ｱﾀﾀﾀﾀｯ!と空耳する暴力的ｻｳﾝﾄﾞ･ｴﾃﾞｨｯﾄと､血しぶきを上げるﾂｲﾝ･ﾘｰﾄﾞ｡ｹﾝｼﾛｳとｷﾞﾀﾘｽﾞﾑ､まさにﾄﾞﾘｰﾑ･ﾁｰﾑなﾓﾝｽﾀｰ･ｿﾝｸﾞ｡漢たちの熱戦を思わせる､めまぐるしいまでの展開も圧巻だ｡②はｸﾘｽﾀﾙｷﾝｸﾞによる初代主題歌をｲﾝｽﾄ･ｶﾊﾞｰ｡これでもかと弾き狂っています!

HOTEIのBlogによれば「『ロシアン・ルーレット』を彷彿とさせる、久しぶりの男歌。」とのこと。豪快なビートチューンらしいので期待度◎ですね！！
