Legacy's Music of Aretha Franklin is a three-disc, 45-cut retrospective spotlighting four decades of the Queen of Soul's career. The track listing sticks close to chronological order beginning in the early '60s with material recorded for Columbia, highlighted by her interpretations of numerous standards, followed by a few songs taken from her association with the Atlantic label in the mid-'60s, including Chain of Fools. The set ends in the '80s with her tenure at Arista and the hits Freeway of Love, Who's Zoomin' Who?, and Sisters Are Doin' it for Themselves.
