このAlbumはYesの完成形だと思います。3曲とも完成度の高い作品です。特にタイトル曲の「Close to the Edge」は最高傑作と言えるでしょう。Liveでも映える名曲です。Bunus Trackとして収録されている「Siberian Khatru」のスタジオランスルーがかなり興味深いものになっています。0 people agree with this review

本作品の３曲全ては足すモノも引くモノも一切ありません。必要にして最小限のフレーズが高い次元で結晶しています。もうすぐ50代になる私が中学生の頃、私はクラスでただ一人のYESファンでした。渋谷陽一はFMでYESをほめることなく、友人はディープパープルやKISSに熱狂し、むくわれない孤軍奮闘を展開し毎日惨敗（涙。しかしその後YESの音楽は風雪に耐え、今日に至っていることをうれしく思います。ジャケットのデザインも秀逸。2 people agree with this review
