映画化になる前からマンガを読んでいて、あの歌詞には、あのバンドの音には自分でなんとなくアジカンをイメージしていたので曲を担当する事が分かったときは楽しみだった。少し物悲しくも前を向いて進もうと言う決意がメロディからも感じられる、素晴らしい名曲が生まれた。
