由紀さおりのようやく出たシングル・コレクション。もっと早い時期に出してくれてればよかったのに。これまでお気に入りの曲を集めるために何枚ベスト盤買ったことか。これでやっとお色気ディスコ歌謡「愛したもうことなかれ」が聴けます。今ではお姉さんとのデュオでの活動のほうが有名ですが、かつては単なる歌謡曲歌手ではなく、「襟裳岬」の前に「ルームライト」で拓郎を歌ったり、本人ブレイク以前にフリオ・イグレシアスの曲を取り上げたりと、意外とシーンの一歩先を進んでたりしてた人なので、是非とも再評価を望んでいます。そんな彼女の軌跡ががっつり聴ける充実した作品。

当初は、「1969年から1988年までに発売されたシングルA面を完全コンプリートしたシングルコレクション！B面曲は未CD化のものもセレクトし収録！」という宣伝文句で、4枚組で発売されるはずでした。発表された曲目情報をみたら、3枚組に「格下げ」（しかも値段は4枚組と変わらず5,000円）、B面曲は、既にCD化済みの「タ・ヤ・タン」1曲だけ。2000年代のシングルも追加収録されるようだけど、「小諸　わが想い出」と「しあわせのカノン～第2章～」の最新の2曲は入らず、シングル曲がコンプリートではない。6枚組でA面・B面コンプリートBOXを期待します。
