個人的な嗜好もあって、盟友ﾆｰﾙ･ﾔﾝｸﾞと比べるとこれまであまり熱心に聴いてこなかったが…いやはや驚いた！前年のｿﾛ2ndも実にﾊﾞﾗｴﾃｨｰ豊かな作風だったが、本作はまさにｱﾒﾘｶﾝ･ﾙｰﾂ･ﾐｭｰｼﾞｯｸの詰め合わせのような豪華さだ。ﾛｯｸ､ﾌﾞﾙｰｽ､ﾌｫｰｸ､ｶﾝﾄﾘｰ…色々なﾃｲｽﾄが見事にｸﾛｽｵｰﾊﾞｰして聴く者を飽きさせない。実にｽｹｰﾙの大きい作品だと思う。過大評価とか過小評価という言葉を安易に使うのは表現として安っぽい気がしてあまり好きではないのだが、これは紛れもなく過小評価に類するだろう。CSNの看板がﾃﾞｶ過ぎるのかｿﾛとしてのﾈｰﾑ･ﾊﾞﾘｭｰが地味なのか…いずれにしてももっと世間一般的に知られれば評価が上がるのは間違いない。

腕利きのミュージシャンをバックバンドに従えたスティルスのソロアルバム（？）の最高傑作。彼の好み（フォーク、ロック、カントリー、ラテン）がすべて発揮されている。ＴＶライヴのＤＶＤでも明らかなように、メンバーの実力は折り紙つき！ＬＰでは2枚組だったのがＣＤでは1枚に収められ、ちょっとメリハリがなくなっているかもしれない。しかし名曲ぞろいだし、スティルスのギタリストとしてのすごさも十分伝わってくる。もうスティルスのやりたい放題、真骨頂！！！

Stillsの我がままが極力抑えられ、バンドとしての調和が保たれた数少ないアルバム。カントリーロックの王道を行く名曲が散りばめられています。最高は、やはりCSNYですので、一先ず「すばらしい」と評価しましたが、Stillsのバンド演奏では、最高と思います。
