名曲完成。a.b.s.流アンセムとして話題となった「JAP」に続くニューシングル「キミノウタ」は、初めて日本語のタイトルが冠され、歌詞の世界、メッセージもこれまでになかった新たなものに仕上がった。誰しもが抱く、新たな変化に対する希望と不安。そんな不安に押しつぶされそうになったとき、当たり前のように傍にいてくれる「誰か」の存在が心の支えになっていることがある。普段は照れくさくて、言葉にするのが気恥ずかしいけれど、自分の気持ちを正直に伝えることの大切さを歌う西川の歌詞には、やさしく、前向きで、力強い想いが満ち溢れている。そして、柴崎によるメロディ、バンドによるアレンジも「楽曲」というより「ウタ」として寄り添い、この歌詞のメッセージをよりリアルに響かせている。明日、「キミ」と「ボク」の身に何が起こるのかもわからないこの世の中で今、西川は「キミ」と「ボク」に問い掛ける。「この歌を聴いて、あなたは誰を想いますか？」
