「グイン・サーガ」の小説生誕30周年を記念しアニメ化された「グイン･サーガ」は、現在ＮＨＫBS2での放送中。その原作となる小説「グイン･サーガ」は1979年に早川書房より文庫版1巻が発刊され、日本のファンタジー小説の金字塔ともいえる栗本薫原作の大河小説。累計発行部数3000万部を超える大ベストセラーとして多数のファンに愛し続けられている。また英語、ドイツ語、イタリア語、フランス語などの翻訳版も出版されており世界中の読者も魅了している。NHKBS2で放送が開始されて以来、CD化の反響の声が多いカノンが歌うエンディングソング"Saga〜This is my road"を含むカノンの7トラック入りミニアルバム。エンディングソングの他に、原作者の栗本薫先生が書いた詩に植松伸夫が作曲をした「マリウスの歌」、インストの挿入曲にカノンが詞を付けた「届かぬ想い」などアニメ「グイン･サーガ」にちなんだ楽曲が収録されたこのアルバムは、小説そしてアニメ・ファンにも魅力的な内容となっている。
