    殺傷力云々とか、昔のイメージにとらわれすぎな気がする。このアルバムは鋭さとかユーモアとか、哀しさとか励ましとか、いろんな要素がないまぜになったミュージカル。鋭いのだけ聴きたい人用ではありません。おまけ。「『ロックであるとかないとか言ってるアンタが一番ロックじゃねえんだよ』っていうのは、示したいじゃないですか」（椎名林檎；Switch vol.27 no.6）

    退屈だぁね、これは。昭和ジャズやシャンソン風の曲とかあまりに平々凡々だし、そもそも林檎さんのキーの高い声とマッチしてない。 いたずら半分、本気半分ってところが、林檎さんらしいけど。にしたってサウンドにひねりなさすぎでしょ。ジョーヘンリとかルーファスウェイライトみたいにゴージャスかつ奥行きがないと。 辛口で悪いけど、このサウンドは林檎の皮程度。ゴージャスなバックバンドでカラオケしているような程度です。歌詞が素晴らしいのようやくイマイチ。
