キンクスのアルバムの中でどれか一枚選べと言われたら、悩みに悩んだ末にこのアルバムを選ぶような気がする。ポップでありロックでありけだるくて詩的でちょっとなさけなくてファニーでありユーモラスである。キンクスというバンドの要素がギュッと詰まった一枚。 「David Watts」「Death Of A Clown」「Waterloo Sunset」と、キンクス史上に残る名曲が入っている。「Harry Rag」のアシッドな感じもこの時代ならではという感じがするし、「Tin Soldier Man」のひしゃげたようなブラスの音も面白い。「End Of The Season」は以前はあまりピンと来なかった曲だが、キンクスにはまっていくうちにまぎれもないレイ・デイヴィスの歌世界だと思い知るようになった。デイヴは「Love Me Till The Sun Shines」での歌いっぷりがいかにもといった感じ。そして、「Waterloo Sunset」は曲はもちろんのこと詩もとてつもなく素晴らしい。1 people agree with this review

今回のDXは二枚組って事でｽﾃﾚｵ･ﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝの収録を期待しているが、本当に発売されるのかね？！日程的にはもうﾌﾟﾚｽや印刷に回ってないと間に合うﾜｹが無いし、曲名の情報は現段階でどこのｻｲﾄにも無し！ﾚｲﾝﾎﾞｰも同様だけど…大丈夫かよ（笑）0 people agree with this review

昔からＫＩＮＫＳは知ってはいたけど、積極的に聴いたことはなかった。なんか、先入観があったんだろうね。聴いておけば良かったと後になって後悔しましたよ。最近、一気に全作品を揃えましたが、本作はベストの一つ。やはりＭ13にとどめをさします。行き交う人の心の情感が浮かぶような名曲です。0 people agree with this review
