UP-BEATのアルバムをリアルタイムで買ったのは、このアルバムが最初だったか…手元にあるのは確か当時初回限定盤だったデジパック盤です。個人的には前作『HERMIT COMPLEX』がベストだとは思いますが、このアルバムも懐かしさもあり、今聞いてもいいアルバムですね。前作には統一感がありましたが、このアルバムでは多彩さが前面に押し出されているように思います。その（音楽的な）多彩さに当時は付いていけないところがあったかな…(^^;) 前作にはなかったへヴィさを感じさせるＭ-1，4、歌詞も皮肉なＭ-2、一転してキャッチーなラブソングＭ-3、ユニークなＭ-6，9、道化の物悲しさが曲調にも表されるＭ-5、らしさが発揮されているＭ-7，8…やっぱりいいアルバムですね(^^) 自分がUP-BEATを聴いていたのはメンバーが3人になった自作『Weeds ＆ Flowers』まで。ビクターさん、『HAMMER MUSIC』と『Weeds ＆ Flowers』も是非再発してください!!いや、それ以降のアルバムもかな…。そういえば10年以上前の話だと思いますが、UP-BEATのトリビュートアルバムが発売されたということを数年前に知り大変驚きました。自分思っている以上に次世代以降のアーティストたちにも影響を与えたいたということなのか…。誰が参加してたんだろ？どの曲が取り上げられているのか…。今の若い世代の人たちにも、きっと“何か”を感じさせるアーティストですよね、UP-BEATって…。1 people agree with this review
