その後のバイロイト収録映像にくらべ画質がやや落ちるのが残念ですが、素晴らしい舞台です。タンホイザーは結構難しい役で、ジークフリードのような輝かしい声は必ずしも合わず、これまでもヴィナイ、バイラーなど暗めの声の歌手が多く歌っており、ヴェンコフもその系列の声。強い集中力を感じさせる名演だと思います。ジョーンズも最も輝いていた頃で、「祈り」では情感を感じさせる歌と演技が見事。ヴァイクルもさすが当たり役で堂々とした歌唱ですが、「夕星」ではもうひとつしっとりした味わいが欲しいというのは無いものねだりでしょうか。それにしてもマイスタージンガーやパルシファルのバイロイト盤の国内版がなぜ出ないのでしょうね。0 people agree with this review

陰翳礼賛ではないが、G・フリードリッヒならではの効果的演出である。個人的には、第一幕の振り付けを含めた、ｳﾞｪﾇｽﾍﾞﾙｸﾞ現出の舞台場面を映像処理で重ね合わせるのではなく、観客の目線で観たかった。ｳﾞｪﾝｺﾌの歌唱は艶こそないが燻し銀ばりの硬質で、G・ｼﾞｮｰﾝｽﾞと十分渡り合え、脇の歌手陣もﾀﾝﾎｲｻﾞｰ全幕の屋台骨をしかと支えている。 幕間のｶｰﾃﾝｺｰﾙは何よりうれしく、ﾊﾞｲﾛｲﾄ祝祭の、あの深緑色の引き幕と観客の地鳴りする喝采は、昔FM放送でしか聞けなかった渇望を癒してくれた。0 people agree with this review

DVDでの再購入に際して久々に鑑賞したがやはり面白かった。演出の意図がちゃんとあり最近の読み替えというより独りよがり演出にウンザイしていたので最後まで楽しめた。この頃のバイロイトはクプファーのオランダ人やシェローのリングと今観ても大変見ごたえがある舞台が揃っていた。幼少期ラジオでかじりついて聴いていた演奏がこうやって映像で観られることに感謝!!個人的にはジョーンズ様の女性二役が好みです。若きヴァイクル、ゾーティンも勿論いいです。0 people agree with this review
