1982年だったかジャコはオーレックスジャズフェスティバルに自らのビッグバンドを引き連れて参加。私はそのステージを見た後日に本作品を購入。 ライブでのすごさに較べて本作品は芸術的というか、もっとジャコらしい荒々しさが欲しかったかな。 当時のスィングジャーナル誌だっかの評で、「夏の昼下がりのプールの後の感じ」というのがありました。0 people agree with this review

個人的には､ﾋﾞｰﾄﾙｽﾞの「ｻｰｼﾞｪﾝﾄ･～」､ｼﾞﾐ･ﾍﾝの「ｴﾚｸﾄﾘｯｸ･ﾚﾃﾞｨ～」そしてｼﾞｬｺの本作という位置付けで聴いてます｡後年に比べ､演奏力は問題なく安定していますし､逆に､G･ｴﾊﾞﾝｽ指導のもと､ｱﾚﾝｼﾞｬｰとしての､ｵｰｹｽﾄﾚｰｼｮﾝ･ﾃｸﾆｯｸは､飛躍的に成長したことを､②､③で感じずにはいられません｡ﾊﾞｯﾊ作の④や､ﾋﾞｰﾄﾙｽﾞの⑤の意外な選曲には､様々な受止め方があると思いますが､俺的にも､④､⑤からﾌｭｰｼﾞｮﾝ･ﾛｯｸのﾀｲﾄﾙ曲⑥へ､そして強い温か味が感じられるﾗｽﾄの⑦への流れがﾄﾞﾗﾏﾁｯｸに思われて好感触大です｡本作完成後､ｼﾞｬｺはまだ､W･R期以上の野心に燃えていたのだが...｡0 people agree with this review
