1951年録音。作曲者と親交のあったカサドシュだけに、そこに込められた豊かなニュアンスには強い説得力があり、美しい音色がとても魅力的です。音質はモノラルとしては最上の部類で鑑賞には支障ありません。

ゴロンコロネ氏のラヴェルがペルルミュテールをほとんど問題にしていないという記述は、不当にペルルミュテールを貶めるものだ。 確かに、ラヴェル自伝にはペルルミュテールの記述はないが、それがすなわち「ラヴェル自身はペルルミュテールをほとんど問題としておらず、カサドシュを高く評価していた」という傍証にはなりえない。 カサドシュの録音は、確かにすばらしいが、やや派手すぎる印象を受ける。 ラヴェルから直伝の解釈を受け継いだペルルミュテールの演奏をまず聴いてみなければならないだろう。1 people agree with this review

ラヴェルのピアノ演奏で考えられる限り最高の名演でしょう。全体に快速なテンポで軽いタッチで弾き流しており、最近の演奏家が陥りがちな印象派風なべとべとした演奏とは一線を画します。水の戯れがハイドンのように古典的に聴こえるのは聴いててまことに心地よい。ラヴェル直伝ということではペルルミュテールが有名ですが、ラヴェル自身はペルルミュテールをほとんど問題としておらず、カサドシュを高く評価していたのは有名な話。お勧めです0 people agree with this review
