2002年、日本武道館でのライヴを最後に解散した、Siam Shade。その伝説のバンドがついに、初となるコンプリート・ベストをリリース。その内容は、ファンからのリクエスト曲も含む2枚のベスト盤と、彼らを語るには不可欠なライヴの映像を納めたDVDを一緒にした、まさにパーフェクトなベストとなっています。

リマスタ―を期待して、聴きましたが、クレジットには無く、多少高音域が強調された印象です。選曲は、シングル集にはなっていなく、彼等の本質が丸裸になっている曲も、複数収録されほぼ満足かな。ただ少し残念なのが、“Shout out"“TIME'S"&“Virtuso"が収録されなかったのが、心残り…。僕は、80年代～90年代初頭の洋楽のハード･ロック(現在はヘア―・メタルと呼ばれている時代)を今でも聴き続けていますが、彼等のバックグラウンドも、まず間違いなくその辺でしょう！ SKID ROW TESLA HAREM SCAREM等思い起こさせる部分が有りますね。あっ、それと変則リズムに、DREAM THEATERね。まぁ、実現は難しかったでしょうが、全盛期にMICHAEL WAGNERとアルバム作って

なんだこの選曲は！仕方ないのかもだけどインディーズが１番良いんだけどあとⅡとかただシャムシェイドは一曲足りとも捨て曲がないので全てのアルバムリマスター再発して欲しいですねー☆

選曲は流石BEST！という感じで申し分ないのですが、個人的にはもう少しマニアックな選曲をして欲しかったかな？まぁ色んな理由でインディーズ時代の楽曲は使用出来なかったとしても、LIVEでお馴染みのShout outや全パート地獄クラスの難易度なBloody Train等は入れて欲しかったなぁ?。 …まぁ挙げればキリがないですがね（笑）これで初めてSIAM SHADE好きになったら、一度全ての作品に触れてみることをオススメします！
