典型的なワンホーン・カルテットで挑んだ59年録音の代表作。
Jimmy Garrison(b)、Art Tailor(ds)といった強靭で軽快なリズム隊が全体を牽引してゆく中、スタンダードを中心に、Mcleanらしいハードバッパーど真ん中を貫いた胸の空く吹きっぷりを披露。
やはり＜Let's Face the Music and Dance＞がハイライトであろう。
