'Year Zero' is the fifth studio album release from the world's most popular and successful industrial metal act, Nine Inch Nails. 'Year Zero' is a concept album (part 1 of 2) that is set some 15 years in the future; in short, it is a vision of the future, a cautionary tale of a world we could be living in if current world events stay on the path we are set on. The album was written and peformed largely on a laptop during the 'With Teeth' 2005/6 tour, produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, mixed by Alan Moulder and mastered by Brian “Big Bass” Gardner.

NIN are fronted by singer/writer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Trent Reznor, the man perhaps solely responsible for bringing industrial metal to the attention of the mainstream. From the release of ground-breaking debut ‘Pretty Hate Machine’ in 1989 and their performance at the inaugural Lollapalooza to the last studio album, 2005’s ‘With Teeth’, here is an act whose influence on modern music cannot be underestimated.
