　グールドのデビュー盤となった1955年録音の「ゴールドベルク変奏曲」は、演奏は素晴らしいが唯一、音がモノラルであるということが、その後訪れたステレオ時代にはネックになっていました。モノラル盤と異なるジャケットをまとって1968年に発売されたこのグールドの「ゴールドベルク」擬似ステレオ盤は、グールドのプロデューサーの一人であったアンドルー・カズディンとエンジニアのレイ・ムーアによって電気的にステレオ化されたものです。奇跡の世界初CD化！（ソニー・ミュージック）
