アントワーヌ・フォルクレ：ヴィオール小品集とクラヴサン小品集
J・ベルンフェルト(gamb)、スキップ・センペ(cemb)
1991年デジタル録音。ヴェルサイユ宮で活躍したヴィオラ・ダ・ガンバの名手。 A・フォルクレは、早くからルイ14世に才能を認められ、17歳でヴェルサイユの宮廷音楽家となる。イタリア流のヴァイオリン技法をヴィオラ・ダ・ガンバに取り入れたといわれますが、作品はほとんど残っておらず、その真価は、子フォルクレの編曲を通してうかがい知ることしかできません。 子フォルクレが1747年に出版した「ヴィオール曲集」は、父の29の小品と子の３つの小品からなりますが、父の作品にも子フォルクレによる大幅な編曲が加えられていると考えられています。この曲集はヴィオラ・ダ・ガンバの技法が極限まで高められた作品として、ヴィオラ・ダ・ガンバ奏者の重要なレパートリーとなっています。

    私がフォルクレ好きになるきっかけになった想い出の一枚。センペの洒落た伴奏とソロが特に素晴らしい！人気曲「ルクレール」はかつてのコープマンの迫力溢れる爽快な名演があったが(ERATO盤)、これはどこまでも軽快なアプローチ。古楽ファンならずとも気に入るのではなかろうか。有名曲は押さえており、選曲も申し分ない。強いていえば、時間的余裕があるので、もう2,3曲入れて欲しかった。フォルクレ入門、そしてこのジャンルを気軽に聴いてみたい方にはお薦め！
