On their major-label debut, Under the Table and Dreaming, the Dave Matthews Band is helped by the lean production of Steve Lillywhite, who manages to rein in the group's tendency to meander. The result is a set of eclectic pop/rock that is accentuated by bursts of instrumental virtuosity instead of being ruled by it.     ｱﾒﾘｶでは大ﾒｼﾞｬｰでも、日本やｲｷﾞﾘｽで泣かず飛ばずのﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞていうﾊﾟﾀｰﾝはおうにしてある。ﾃﾞｯﾄﾞしかり。よみがえったｸﾞﾚｲﾄﾌﾙﾃﾞｯﾄﾞだ。

    ジャケット買いから始まったDMBとの出逢い。ジャズやファンクにロックなど、様々な要素が絡み合った厚みのあるサウンド。日本のバンドにはないスケールの大きさを感じた。DMBは日本でもっと売れてもいい、いや、売れるべきだ！

    スキのないバンド演奏！　とにかくかっこいい。 単に「ロック」とくくってしまえない、あらゆる要素が含まれている。 シブい曲のくせに、よく聴くと甘いラブソングだったりする。 コンサート最後に観客全員で盛り上がる定番曲、Ants　Marchingは最高です！ ひそかに来日コンサートを開いてくれないかなーーー
