ファン待望のピアノ・ベスト盤。2004年の話題作！宮崎駿監督最新作『ハウルの動く城』の音楽を手がける久石譲。本作には、その「ハウルの動く城」のメインテーマ曲を収録！また、お問い合わせ殺到のCM「伊右衛門」、ベネッセCM曲も初収録される。また、数曲でカナダの11人編成の女性ストリングス・グループ、ラピエッタと競演。
ピアノをメインにしつつもバラエティにとんだ内容となっている。

やはり１曲目「人生のメリーゴーランド」は圧巻です。鳥肌立ちました！他の曲も素敵です。久石さんの曲大好きです。

とにかく「スゴイ！」という感想です！ヘッドホンをつけて聞くとなおさら「ゾクっ」っとします！こんなにイイ曲を聞いていない人はホンとに“損”なのではないかなぁと思うので、聞いていない人はゼヒ②聞いてみてください！（聞いてみる価値アリ☆★）

久石さんの音楽は、時々聴いていてゾクッとする程の緊張感と情熱が込められているような気がします。この作品では特に5曲目にそれらが詰め込まれていると感じました。とは言え、3,4曲目のようにふんわり、キラリとした親しみやすいメロディもあり、実に美しいアルバムです。
