フェザータッチのライトでメロウなギター・サウンド。 特に、夏の涼風をスケッチしたタイトル曲や、レコードのＢ面で軽快に主張していた「Affirmation」、ソフトなタッチでラストを飾る「Lady」など、その後の和製フュージョンの模範ともなったスタイルが、ここにはあります。 フュージョンというジャンルが認知し始めた７０年代中期。自分の中では、ポップスの側からアプローチした Paul Simon の『時の流れに』とは反対のベクトルとして、ジャズの側から近づいてきた George Benson のこのアルバムを受け入れていました。0 people agree with this review

ジョージのベンソンさん デトロイトが舞台になっているエルモア・レナードの小説「身元不明者89号」で登場した 曲は何だったでしょうか？ 小説読み直しますか はあ めんどくさ。つーか この盤は マスカレイド とゆーことに なっておりますが、この人の唄といえば なんつったって 女王様とのデュエット ”Love All The Hurt Away” とゆー 今だに ちょっとドキっとする（ワタクシだけ？）曲が ございますネ。2 people agree with this review

ベンソンのギターとヴォーカル、今聞いても色あせない魅力を持っているのはさすが。それは何故なのだろうか、ギターの技術はそれほどとは思わないが、フレーズ一つ一つが考え抜かれている。そこにベンソンの才能が光る。ポップでお洒落でブルージィ、それがヒットの要因。0 people agree with this review
