ロックアルバムとしては全体的に静かな印象のアルバム。サウンドや楽器の使い方が全曲似通っており、それがまさにオペラとして統一された印象を与える結果となっている。ピート・タウンゼンドのソングライターとしての実力がいかんなく発揮されていると言える。ザ・フーというバンドをこれから知りたいと思っている人にとって、このアルバムから入るべきかどうかは疑問であるが、ザ・フーのファンではなかった多くの音楽ファンを注目させたのもこのアルバムだろう。0 people agree with this review

この作品はきちんと映画を観てから聴くべし。映像と共に歌詞を理解し、全体の流れを把握するだけでなく、起承転結を感じながら耳を傾けることでまた違った世界が感じられるはず。史上最高のコンセプトアルバムと言う評は決して過大なものではない。0 people agree with this review
