新結成のレギュラーカルテットによる新旧の作品を採り上げたアルバム。オリジナル曲を中心としながらもシャンソン、デューク・エリントンなど様々な題材をピックアップした聴き所の多彩な作品。ジェリのピアノも甘さに流されないきちっとしたプレイを聞かせる。ロイド・ファンにとっては、キース・ジャレット〜ジャック・デジョネットを擁した時代の「Charles Lloyd in the Soviet Union」、さらに80年代最高のヨーロッパピアノ、ミチェル・ペトルチアーニを擁した83年のライヴ盤「A NIGHT lN COPENHAGEN」でも演奏している初期の代表曲“Sweet Georgia Bright”の再演が楽しみだ。今回のジェリ・アレンはいったいどんなプレイを聞かせるのか？また、黒人イケメン・ドラマー、エリック・ハーランドも楽しみな演奏。
