1994年デジタル録音。ミラノ国際音楽アカデミーで教鞭を執り、同市のシンプリチアーノ聖堂のオルガニストでもあるロレンツォ・ギエルミは、演奏家としての活動と共に、フレスコバルディの未発表作品を掘り起こしたり、16〜17世紀のオルガン芸術など音楽学上の研究にも熱心に取り組んでいます。この曲集は、当時の儀礼に基づき、オルガン･ソロと合唱が交互に演奏される形式で収録されたオルガン･ミサ。明るく華やかなフレスコバルティのスタイルは、フランスや南ドイツ圏の作曲家に多大な影響を与えたとされています。バッハもそのひとりで、この「フィオリ･ムジカーリ（音楽の花束）」のオリジナル楽譜の写譜を所有していたそうです。
