HMV Review

Greatest Hits is an excellent, thorough 14-track collection containing all of Journey's big hits, from 1978's Wheel in the Sky to 1986's I'll Be Alright Without You. Although the songs aren't presented in chronological order and a handful of minor hits (Suzanne, Walks Like a Lady) aren't included, it doesn't matter, since every essential Journey single -- Only the Young, Don't Stop Believin', Any Way You Want It, Separate Ways, Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin', Open Arms, Send Her My Love -- is here, which means that it's all most casual fans will ever need. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

    ｸﾞﾚｲﾃｨｽﾋｯﾂのDVDが付くのでかなりお得です。自分としてはｼﾞｬｰﾆｰは高校生の頃『ﾚｲｽﾞﾄﾞ ｵﾝ ﾚｲﾃﾞｨｵ』からはいったので『ﾚｲｽﾞﾄﾞ ｵﾝ ﾚｲﾃﾞｨｵ』と『ｽｻﾞﾝﾇ』の映像が見たかった。

    改めて聞きなおしましたが、やはり本当に良いバンド。メロディー、曲、演奏ともに完璧。改めて稀代の名ボーカリストＳペリーと Ｎショーンの泣きのギターは旨いと思った。正に私ももろ、ジャーニー世代で、当時彼らの音楽を聴きまくりました。自分が欲した音楽と彼らの音が交差したような、そんな感じです。とりわけＤＶＤのＧローリー在籍時の貴重なＬＩＶＥ映像は今見ても楽しめた。Ｎショーンのアフロヘアと髭、オールドレスポールとストラトを操る姿は懐かしい。

    このグレイテストよりも”ＴＩＭＥ３”がオススメだよ。アルバム未収録音源もあったりだし！本盤も悪くない選曲だけどね。
