■Matthew Herbert Big Band
−帰ってきた 唯一無二のビッグバンド・サウンド！
Doctor RockitやRadio Boyそして本人名義のherbertなど、数々の名義を使いわけるダンス・ミュージック界の奇才によるビッグバンド・プロジェクトMatthew Herbert Big Bandが5年ぶりに再始動！
今作でも70個のコンドームを英国美術館で破壊した音や、100枚のクレジット・カードを切り刻んだ音、100個の付け爪をハンマーで粉々にして棺桶に入れる音、ハーバートの息子が未熟児で生まれときに使用していた保育器の音など、ハーバートならではの社会的なメッセージ性溢れるサンプリング音を隠しスパイスとして使用。
しっかりと作りこまれたアレンジと演奏によるハイクオリティーなビッグバンド・サウンドと強烈なメッセージ性溢れるサンプリング音は違和感なくハーモニーを奏で、まさにMatthew Herbertにしか作る事のできない唯一無二な世界を確立。
天才、奇才、鬼才？ホントにこのヒトのやる事には常に脱帽。今後は18人構成のオーケストラとしてツアーを予定しているそうで、そちらもどんなツアーになるのやら、気になるところですね。日本にも来てくれることを願いましょう！
