First have a look at the photo above - the numbers spirally lined up. They signify how the drum sets were set up.

And of course, in the "0" stood EYE from The Boredoms.

The free live was located at the bottom of Brooklyn Bridge in NYC. It has already become a legend in its own right - with the 77 drum sets lined up spirally blasting out a flood of noise and sound to EYE's lead.

It would all turn into blurry noise in the end, you might suspect. But no worries, because it is purely beautiful!! 77 drum sets in perfect harmony, thanks to thorough rehearsing before the show.

And finally, here's the DVD that fully reenacts the raw sound of the drums!!

Among the drummers who joined the ensemble were Brian Chippendale from Lightning Bolt, Tim Dewit from Gang Gang Dance and Andrew W.K.!!

'Because the spiral shape is so large time gap among drummers was almost inevitable. However they took advantage of it to create a gigantic wave of sound that even overwhelms all the performers themselves, and the performers just had to catch up with it all, lest they get drawn in the big wave of sound.', describes the comment from the liner notes. The documentary became a film and was initially released at mini theatres. Much to an unexpected huge demand, it turned into a long-run hit.

The DVD however does not contain the documentary film, so if you saw the film you would still have to get this title!
